Terms of business

How ordering from us works, in plain English. If anything here isn't clear, ring us before you order.

Quotes and prices

  • Every job is quoted before we start. The quote says what you're getting, the price and the likely turnaround.
  • We're not VAT registered, so we don't charge VAT. The price we quote is the price you pay.
  • The minimum charge for any job is £20.
  • Delivery and UK postage aren't included unless the quote says so. We price them when you ask.

Artwork and design

  • Send what you have. If it isn't print-ready, we'll get it ready.
  • Design is free on orders over £100. On smaller orders, design is charged at £25 an hour, and we'll tell you roughly how long it will take before we start.
  • You must have the right to use everything in your artwork, including logos, photos and fonts. We can't check who owns them.
  • We keep your files so you can reorder. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Proofs

  • Nothing is printed until you've approved a proof and the price.
  • Please check the proof carefully, especially spellings, phone numbers, dates, prices and sizes. Once you've approved it, we print exactly what's on it.
  • If a mistake was on a proof you approved, we'll reprint at the cost of materials only.
  • Colours on screen and in print never match exactly. If colour matters, for example matching a brand colour, tell us before we print and we'll help you get it right.

Payment

  • We take a 50% deposit when you approve the proof. The rest is due before you collect the job or we send it out.
  • Print partners get one invoice a month instead, on terms agreed with us.

Turnaround

  • Standard turnaround is currently 3 to 5 working days from when you approve the proof. Bigger or more complicated jobs can take longer, and we'll tell you when we quote.
  • If you need a job within 24 hours, rush jobs cost an extra 25%, as long as the queue allows. Ring us first.
  • Turnaround times are our honest estimate, not a guarantee. If something's going to be late, we'll tell you as soon as we know.

Collection and delivery

  • You're welcome to collect from our factory at 3b Rosse Close, Washington, NE37 1ET, during opening hours (Mon–Fri 8am–4pm · Sat 8am–1pm).
  • We can arrange local delivery or post anywhere in the UK, priced at quote stage.
  • Please check your order when you get it.

If something's wrong

  • If there's a fault that's down to us, like a misprint or damage in finishing, tell us within 7 days of collection or delivery, with a photo if you can. We'll reprint it free.
  • This doesn't affect your legal rights.

Cancelling

  • You can cancel free of charge any time before your job goes on the printer. We'll refund your deposit.
  • Once printing has started, the job is paid for in full.
  • If we've done design work on an order under £100, that time is charged even if you cancel.

What we don't do

We don't offer 3D printing, vehicle graphics, window graphics, correx boards or sticker runs under 1 m². If you ask for one, we'll tell you straight and point you somewhere that can help.
